Interface Resmed N20 nasal mask to Autoset for Her machine?
I wanted to try a nasal mask during my CPAP trial/titration. I got a Resmed N20 mask on loan. This mask hose, according to my calipers, has a 22 mm outside diameter where it supposed to interface to my Autoset for Her machine. The Autoset feed hose has a kind of quick disconnect fitting that has an inside diameter of about 17 mm.
Is there some adapter I need to buy? Or did the tech give me the wrong short-length hose with the mask, and I should ask her for a 17mm OD (nominal) one?

I have an N-20 mask the short hose plugs right into the long hose without a quick disconnect. My dreamwear had a little white quick disconnect piece it just comes right out of the hose fairly easily if you tug on it softly.

Hmm. I have tugged on the inside white plastic piece in the QD connector on the Climateline Air (feed) hose. It doesn't seem to want to come out.
Are you saying if I remove the entire QD fitting on the end of the feed hose I can plug the short (mask) hose in?

I am having a hard time understanding your problem or question.
Are you having a problem attaching the long hose to the mask?
If so...sounds like you have a piece of another mask stuck in the long hose and this happens often.
Can you get me a screen shot of the end of the hose that you are having problems attaching to the mask?

Sorry if it was not clear. I am trying to plug a 22 mm OD male end into a 17 mm ID female fitting. The OD is bigger than the ID so it is never going to work because it is a 5 mm interference fit.
You don't attach the long hose to the mask. You attach the long (feed) Climateline Air hose to a short intermediate hose. The intermediate hose, about a foot long, has a swivel fitting where it interfaces to the nasal mask. Are you having a problem attaching the long hose to the mask?
I will check. I was using a full face mask previously. If so...sounds like you have a piece of another mask stuck in the long hose and this happens often.
No problem. Give me 15 minutes. Can you get me a screen shot of the end of the hose that you are having problems attaching to the mask?

The white thing in the end of the long hose doesn't belong in there. It's from the old mask and it got stuck in the long hose.
Keep working on it and tugging on it and it will eventually come out.
You should only see the gray rubber without the little bit of white stuff...
This happens all the time and people don't realize it...but yes...it gets stuck pretty solid sometimes and people think it belongs there.

The little white piece belongs to the dreamwear. Take it out and the hose slips right in

Well, it took a pair of pliers because the white piece was in there good and tight. Fixed now. Thanks to both.
