Noisy ikon machine

Noisy ikon machine
The machine became extremely noisy after been accidentally dropped. Apparently if it is out of warranty and the only remedy is to have it replaced as fisher and paykel don't offer any technical repairs. So rather than shelling out 2 grand for a new machine I decided to open the machine and check if there was an easy fix.

What I discovered was that the blower motor had moved out of it support lugs and was shaking excessively when the machine was switched on.

A quick realignment, fingers crossed, power switched on and the noise has gone.

We can help you find a new machine much cheaper than that. If you ever need one, be sure to ask in the forum.

BTW, most of the regulars here make sure to have a backup machine on hand because machines do fail even if not dropped. If you don't have a backup, you might want to consider getting one.
