Cleaning My Air Sense 10

Post by jwoceanside » Wed Feb 06, 2019 11:04 am

I believe I'm okay with the cleaning procedure per my mask, tubing, headgear and water chamber. However, is there a cleaning method that applies to the device. I place a cover over the device during the day, while I let the above parts dry. In the beginning I cleaned the parts every day. Now it's every other day.

How do determine when it's time for a new filter

Thanks

There is no need to clean the machine other than possibly wiping off the outer surface with a damp cloth. How often you change the filter depends on the environment in your bedroom. I change ours when they look gray which is about every other month. As for cleaning everything else, you may decide you don't need to clean things as often as recommended by the manufacturer. When I first started treatment, I worked with a respiration therapist that was also using a machine. She told me she cleaned all of her and her husband's equipment once a week. I cleaned my equipment once a week for the first six months. Now, I wash the mask cushions once a week and clean everything once a month. I check the filters at that time and change them if I think they need it.

There's nothing to clean in the machine, just dust it off. Change the filter when it's dusty. The manual says "every six months or as needed".

Just wipe down your mask every day with baby wipes. I wash my mask every week or probably every two weeks.
