It's been a while since I posted my initial question but I just wanted to update my situation.
THERE you are!

1. thanks for posting your chart here, instead of starting a new thread.

2. good work on posting your chart, period. took me many, many tries to get it right.

3. i am with palerider. gather up some more charts from a few nights. one night worth of data isn't enough to go on.

good luck!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Thank you all for your helpful replies!!!

An update to my update......I went to the Medical supply place and told them about my mask issues. They suggested I try the Airfit F20 FFM. So far the good news is that it doesn't seem to leak as much as the Airfit F30 AND I can sleep on my side without one nostril closing. The not-so-good news is that I wake up with red indentation marks across my nose and cheeks. :( :( SO..... my next question is.....would it be advisable for me to get those padded things that I see others mentioning? And, if so, where/how do I get them?

Finally, the other good news is that I got my heated hose so that I'm not waking up with either a dry mouth or water leaking all over my pillow from the condensation when I turn up the humidity.

I am hoping that, little by little, I am getting there.....wherever "there" is!!!! My dream is to have a really good, solid night's sleep! And many more after that!

Thank you again for your thoughtful replies!

( Hi Wordbabe. I'm new here (today) and new to cpap (2 weeks). Forgive me if I'm telling you something you already know. I started with a Sefam
machine and I had exactly the problem you describe. I woke up several times a night to a hurricane blowing about my nose. I changed machine to
a respironics one last week. I described the problem to the salesperson and she said I needed to alter my expiratory relief to the highest level.
Then when you wake up to the hurricane and breathe out it stops. Immediately. So far its worked for me.)

Ah... one more thing.... thank you, Dido, (above quote) for this information about the machines. I have a ResMed and I'm not sure I understand what the "expiratory relief" is or how to change that. could you....or anyone...explain that to me?

Comfort and anti dent stuff
https://www.padacheek.com/
Karen is a cpap user herself and a member of this forum and makes really nice quality products and if you need something special she will try to help you get it.

Expiratory relief. Exhale pressure relief...available on your machine and it's called EPR. A drop in the pressure on inhale to a lower pressure on exhale. Some people find they like it and others don't particularly care for it. It's a personal comfort choice that you get to decide on.
Explained in the manual.

Thank you for the info on expiratory relief!

A new question: My husband and I love to travel so now I am thinking ahead to our trips and wondering: WHAT IS THE BEST CPAP FOR TRAVEL? I have read about the AirMini but in looking at some of the posts about it, I am daunted by all the comments on its ease of use, the masks that go with it, the hoses, etc. etc. I live in NJ and traveled to Florida with my regular CPAP machine but I was visiting my daughter and, of course, did not have problems getting it onboard nor obtaining distilled water etc. but now hubby and I are planning a trip abroad and I would prefer to have something smaller, lighter and am concerned about the ease of finding distilled water and then having to lug that around with me on a tour. I would appreciate all comments!!!

Once again, a huge THANK YOU to all on this thread. You are quite an amazing bunch!!!! :D

Don't let the lack of distilled water thing be an issue. You can use any water that is safe to drink or even regular plain bottled water.
The distilled water thing is for prevention of mineral build up in the water chamber. It's not the end of the world if you get a little mineral build up because it's easily removed with vinegar or lemon juice or similar type of product.

When you go tiny you have to give up something and what you give up might be real important to you.
I could never give up adequate moisture and most of those tiny machines don't offer adequate humidity for my needs.
And then there is the noise issue also....you give up sound insulation material to get tiny.

Same here, John
when are you going to start taking control of your therapy?
Too claustophobic to fall asleep with it.
Device is useless and sleepyhead if one does not sleep with it.
Only slept 3 hours of eight hours in the sleep lab due to the wires and being watched.
Never got to REM sleep but desaturated to 83%.
Came here looking for help and rec'd sarcastic comments instead.
I see the judgemental comments to others going back to 2011 also and to each other 'experts' as well.

Actually this statement is totally incorrect.
You haven't done anything but say why you can't do something and complain about something or someone.
Never actually asked any question as to how you could maybe improve something and totally ignored some really positive responses from people offering help but they needed more information from you before they could offer anything more than some wild ass guesses.

Anyone doubting me...just read the posts that peelunkins as made.
search.php?author_id=89621&sr=posts
Only 20 of them starting with this first one
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=174301&p=1283647#p1283647
and repeated requests for more information (like mask and machine) have been totally ignored.

Reminds me of the "Yes, but...." "don't be a butthead thread" from years back. Anyone besides me remember that one?
Where all someone does is offer excuses and doesn't really want help...they just want to complain.

This is your right of course but don't go bad mouthing us in the process. You haven't lifted one finger to help yourself but you want us to do all the work....sorry but you have to do your part too.

People who actually want help do something besides making snide, offtopic comments in other people's threads.

You didn't come here "looking for help", anybody can see that.

You won't answer questions that would allow us to help you. You won't even fill in your equipment in your profile. How do you expect to get any help? We can't read your mind or access your machine. You have to participate if you want help.
