Thanks - I tried the link but it doesn't allow me to view the thread for some reason.
It works for me...I just tried it.
Not sure why it isn't working for you.

Alternately do a search of my posts and put "married" in the search box and it comes up very close to the top of the hits.
Yes, I tried it that way as well - this is the message I get when I click on any of the messages in the search or on the link- "No posts exist inside this topic for the selected time frame." So I am not sure why I get that message when I try to view the thread- (or other searches I have done. . .

Update: I went to use a different web browser "Chrome" instead of Safari, and the link (and other searches) works with Chrome but not Safari . . .

At this point, my ideal mask would be an AirFit P10 with more stable headgear. If ResMed added more diffuse venting to the Swift FX, and I'd be pretty likely to stop looking *smile*. So it goes.
Roger...I married the P10 and the Swift FX just for you...it's doable and not difficult...but it does require just a little bit of work.
Pugsy, yes, I tried that back then, and while it was interesting, "Frankenstein" masks are less interesting to me than one designed as a whole *smile*. I appreciate your reminding of that, though, it was kind of fun.

I was diagnosed 2 years ago with Apnea. My first mask was an F&P Simplus and I wore that for about a year then switched to a ResMed AirFit F20. I tried a Dreamwear FFM, but could not get it to seal, no way I tried. I am now working with a PR Nuance Pro Gel Pillow Nasal Mask and it is very promising if I wear a chinstrap. If I don't, I get major mask leaks, but still due to the reporting structure between my Dreamstation, DreamMapper , and Sleepyhead, the leaks are lower than with the Full Face Masks previously tried. I am going to try the Dreamwear Nasal Mask just to see what that is like. My therapy is going great and I almost immediately experienced great sleep from the therapy. I am just on the quest for the most comfortable mask....maybe I will find it, maybe I will come close, but I am willing to compromise to make it work. I actually look forward to going to bed now.

I am currently using the Resmed P10 nasal pillows and it's the best choice for me so far. It's not perfect by any means, but it's what I always go back to.

Over almost 12 years, I have tried 12 and I have just ordered #13.

So far:

Philips ComfortGel Blue nasal mask - only used briefly as bruised the bridge of my nose
Philips OptiLife pillows mask - used for years, but when the chin strap was loose, it leaked a lot
ResMed Swift FX - used for years, it was okay
Philips Respironics GoLife for Men nasal pillow - used for one night only, the worst mask I have ever used
Philips Respironics Nuance Pro nasal pillow - used for several days, but leaked too much - I used it for a number of days, but the seal was not good enough, so I went Innomed Hybrid full face mask – used for one night only, I am a side sleeper and it is clearly not made for that
ResMed Swift FX Nano nasal mask - it was okay, I only used briefly
Fisher & Paykel Pilairo Q nasal pillow - great seal, but tore up the underside of my nose
Circadiance SleepWeaver Advance - super comfortable, but way too leaky
ResMed Airfit F10 - comfortable, but something was off
Philips Respironics DreamWear - my current mask, the best I have ever used
Philips Respironics DreamWear with Gel Pillows - tried briefly, but too leaky

Ordered
ResMed AirFit N30i nasal mask

Optilife replacement straps are cheaper than a new mask.

Thanks, but the Dreamwear is so much better. I have never even considered going back to the OptiLife.

This is like the answer to "where do you find stuff that you're looking for?

The answer is in the last place that you look. Once once you find it you stop looking!

The tech tried 4 on me. Liberty, Optilife. A nasal (forgot the name) Then I was fitted with the Innomed Hybrid. No need to look further.

(Your head may vary...)

The OSA patient died quietly in his sleep.
Unlike his passengers who died screaming as the car went over the cliff...

Seemed like millions!!! I love the Simplicity. Sad they don't make them anymore. Guess I should have stocked up when I could.

I guess I was just lucky. During my sleep study, I asked what mask they used, as it seemed to fit, seal and was not uncomfortable. The tech said it was an Easy Life Medium. When I went to the DME, I tried nasal pillows and nasal gel masks of several different manufacturers and decided that the one from my sleep was the least uncomfortable. Still using the same model mask after six years.

10 or 1 depending on your perspective. The very first mask I didn't like tried a bunch of others... finally realized my first mask (nasal pillows from resmed) was the best and I just need to give in and do taping.... all that time wasted
Instead of Sleep apnea it should be called "Sleep deprivation, starving of oxygen, being poisoned by high CO2 levels, damaging the body and brain while it's supposed to be healing so that you constantly get worse and can never get healthy Apnea"

Define "do taping" please.

Mouth taping. Many members tape their mouths closed with medical tape, some just use a hair band, to deal with issues of mouth leak. A hair band doesn't work for me because you still get mouth leak (or at least I do) and in the dry climate I live in even with the humidity cranked up to max it drys my mouth out like crazy.
