S9 nonin xpod compatible with S10 ?

Post by asterysk » Tue Jan 08, 2019 3:16 am

I have recently upgraded from a Resmed S9 (with oximeter add-on ) to an Autoset S10 APAP.

The S10 add-on oximeter module is different I noticed (haven't ordered it yet)

Does anyone know if I can use my Nonin Xpod 3012 from the S9 with the new style S10 oximeter module ? If not, can you possibly describe what is different about the S10 compatible xpod 3012

Thx

If you are using the Airsense 10, you have the wrong machine showing in your profile...You are showing the AirStart.

You need to call up ResMed and ask them if the S9 Nonin Oxygen cable thing is compatible with the new AirSense 10 machines...
I can understand wondering and wanting it to work due to the cost involved...those things are quite pricey.
The AirSense 10 machines do have a port available for the integrated O2 cable thing but I don't know if it's the same port as was used on the S9.

Not many forum members here using that special Nonin unit...just too pricy. Most will opt for the CMS or Contec overnight recording pulse oximeters that cost about 1/10 of what the Nonin thing costs.

If you really have the AirStart machine...it's a bare bones basic machine...not even heated hose capable...I doubt it will even gather oxygen data because it doesn't do any other detailed data gathering either.

If you are using the AirSense 10 AutoSet and couldn't find that choice in the menu...it's there but down in the Rs...and not in the As in the equipment menu choices.
