Another mask question
So if the trend continues and I do really well with the N-20 when I switch my f-30 out (30 days to decide) would the F-20 be the full face mask I would want for those nights when I have a cold or allergies going on ? I only get one chance to switch out.

Re: Another mask question
You may or may not need a full face mask. Many people who use nasal or nasal pillow masks are able to do just fine when they have congestion. Every person is different with different degrees of congestion. Nasal rinses or sprays may be sufficient to keep your nasal passages open enough to use the N20. However, if you want to try a full face mask, my wife and I have both used the F20. I swap back and forth with the F20 and the Dreamwear FFM while my wife has used the F20 ever since she first started treatment. I had a new F20 I had purchased to try and my wife decided she wanted to try it and kept it. I had to purchase a second one for my own use.

Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.
Re: Another mask question
In over 9 years of being on cpap and having my own share of upper respiratory infections I have yet actually had to resort to a full face mask. I have always been able to get my nose opened up just enough to move some air to use my nasal pillow mask...either by oral meds or some sort of spray and every time I woke up the next morning my nose was clearer than when I went to bed. For the first 6 years I didn't even own a full face mask at all....just couldn't find one I could tolerate.
Now I have one (the DreamWear FFM) just in case I should ever need one but I doubt seriously if I will ever really have to use it.
I know someone who has been on cpap 22 years and never ever used a full face mask....does like me...gets the nose at least partially open and goes to bed with pillow mask and wakes up with nose being in better shape then at bedtime.
If you want to have a FFM for back up ...just in case...that's fine but just pick one that is the least annoying to you and accept the fact that it may not be perfect and you aren't probably going to sleep so great anyway (just goes along with being ill) and deal with it.

Re: Another mask question
I have one chance to trade the F-30 within 30 days. I was figuring another full face mask since I was very happy with the medium N-20. I guess I could trade it for another N-20 so I have a backup. I have the dreamwear if I need a full face mask. I just hate everything about it from the darth vader noises to that stupid swivel that pulls clumps of my hair and hurts the top of my head. Was thinking of sending it to pugsy for her box of extras since many do seem to like it.
