Replacement Supplies - Where?

Post by bencro » Sat Dec 29, 2018 6:00 pm

Does anyone know where can I get replacement supplies for my ResMed AirSense10 Autoset? With my old machine, I could get replacement bits (mask, hoses, nose pillows, etc) from Amazon, but with this new machine, it seems that everyone expects to see my prescription, and would like a recommendation of supplier based on the community's experience.

You can still find a lot of things on Amazon. I have found several items I wanted on eBay. What kind of supplies are you looking for?

You only need to get new replacement bits when the old ones wear out.

hoses, pillows, mask *parts*, humidifier tanks do not require a prescription, and are available on amazon and ebay.

I asked my doctor for a prescription for cpap supplies. He gave me one that I sent to cpap.com for the things I can't find on amazon.

The provider of this forum.
They're currently running a year-end sale.

Answers to questions about prescriptions.
Essentially, the only things you need prescriptions for are machines and/or COMPLETE masks.
Mask parts and mask kits don't require an Rx. Nor do hoses, filters, headgear, etc.

What can't you get on amazon or ebay? (supplies wise).

I was looking for the f-30 frame and couldn't find it on ebay or amazon ( I think it is too new) I wound up getting it from my DME local. I couldn't find just the frame on cpap.com but they now have my prescription if I need anything.

I scanned a copy of the perscription to my phone too just in case I am ever traveling and something breaks.

They've got 'em on ebay now. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Resmed-Airfit- ... :rk:1:pf:0

But, yeah, it's always good to have your prescription with you, in case of "need it now".

However, a rx isn't needed (legally) for a frame. (which is why you can find them on ebay... without ebay shutting down the listing.

I've also been able to find stuff on ebay that I couldn't find at regular suppliers, like when I had my FFM, the elbow broke twice, I couldn't get just the elbow from other places, but ebay had it.

Ooh cool good to know. Okie bipap said he saw them on ebay also but when I looked I couldn't find it. Looks like I should have just waited a few days and searched again.

Sometimes it takes the right search words to come up with the right thing, and sometimes the people making the listings may word things a bit weird :)

Sometimes you will a mask frame listed for sale, but if you look at the picture, it is the complete mask. I have purchased complete masks this way on eBay. In the past, eBay would not let them list a complete mask for sale as that requires a prescription while mask parts do not.

Yeah, or "mask frame with extras", the extras being the rest of the mask :D I've gotten several complete in the bag P10s that way :D (It's good to have spares)
