Reservoir Tank Empty

Post by jwoceanside » Sat Dec 29, 2018 10:40 am

The last two mornings my water tank was completely empty. Not sure---during the night---when it may have dried up. I use a RedMed 10 Autoset Nasal Mask. I fill the tank to the max level. I clean the various parts daily. My Ramp is set at Auto. Humidifier at 8. My per hour Apnea events (per hour) over 3 weeks range from 2-10. This morning pressure was at 15 (I think). I've ordered a chin strap, since I breath via my mouth.

I'm concerned because during the early morning I also experience wheezing and sucking novices/wind, plus other unusual occurrences around mouth/mask area. Not sure if there's a connection with empty tank. My morning readings seem to be above average.

Any thoughts

Why do you use a nasal mask if you are a mouth breather?
I used to run my resmed s9 dry in <8 hours... if I set the humidity to max and the bedroom was dry.
Suggest you check sleepyhead for leaks.
Are you a big guy with big lungs?
Big lungs cycle more air.

Could you post one or two regular nights of sleepyhead data?
What's the average ambient humidity and temperature in your recent sleeping circumstances?
These might help figure out why your tank is drying out so quickly.

Between running your humidifier at maximum and mouth breathing (which shows as leak) you are using lots of water. Is your home so dry that you need all this humidity? If so...get a small room humidifier and run it along with the CPAP (About $25).

It's asking for a login user/pass combo. Glad you got things sorted.

You can't post a MyAir link and expect people to see it, your data is only visible to your account.

If you want people to see your MyAir stats, then you need to post a screenshot.

Having said that, MyAir data is not really valuable for any kind of changes, it's summary data. If you want detailed data then download sleepyhead and read the pinned topics on how to present its data.

Dog

I'm knew to CPAP and all the accessories. Need some training time. This morning went on-line to learn about sleepyhead. Will set it up shortly. I copied MyAir. Had impression all could see. I use it to see how the night went. Thanks
