I hope I'm not crazy

Post by LinseyFalls » Wed Feb 14, 2007 9:07 am

God I hope someone here knows what I'm talking about.

This has been going on for about 2 years and it's slowly getting worse.

I've been sleeping on my fist (primarily my right fist) right at my temple and it causes a bruise. The bruise is right at my temple and my between my upper cheekbone and eye socket. It doesn't hurt or anything it's more of a nuisance as people think I keep getting in fights. At first I thought I HAD something like HIV (and freaked) or something but after having some tests i found that I have very clean blood. I've asked a couple of doctors (when going in for something unrelated) and they didn't seem worried and brushed it off to stress.

I'm actually beginning to think it has to do with my pillow selection. Perhaps I should be using a firmer pillow?

Has anyone ever heard of this before?

I've had something similar happen. Actually, my eye would end up on the back of my hand and my eyeball would bruise...the white of my eye was closer to purple when I would wake up...and it would hurt pretty bad too...

I've learned not to do it and actually put a small pillow next to my main pillow to rest my hand on to keep it away from my face...and I have a hand towel there too to block the cold exhaust from my mask blowing on my hand.

You could have something there about needing a firmer pillow. You might try that...

It sounds like you are trying to prop your head up higher so the pillow doesn't bother your mask. Think about the firmer pillow but also check out the papillow which holds your head but is shapped differently so as to not touch the mask.
