Your minimum pressure is too low. Your machine reacts to events, raises the pressure, then when there are no more events, it drops back down, repeating itself over and over all night long. Try bringing your minimum pressure up to 7. There is no reason to raise the maximum since you never get close to what your current setting is.

welcome, fellow traveler!

i agree with okiebipap. (i'd be a fool not to!!) just a caveat, though. some folks can't take a big increase in pressure. you may want to raise your minimum of five up to seven slowly. give it a few nights to insure it settles in.

some people see results right away. others, like me, don't results for a few nights.

good luck!

No, you didn't say "please" and you didn't follow the format requested in the newbies thread in the announcements.

so there :P

thanks Okie bipap and zonker, I increased the minimum pressure to 7. It's only been one night, but I put the graph below.
One shot, I know... I figured I'd try, and there were no problem.

I also turned off "pressure relief". It seems like it's easier to breathe without it? (disclaimer; i have little/no idea what I'm doing :D )

by the way, my sleep lab report indicates AHI 3.1 and RDI 21.1 ! (dated dec 2017)

palerider;
yeah sorry, I didn't read everything, there is so much information on here (some outdated..). Just thought it'd be quicker to post and get feedback.
Your help and others' is *hugely* appreciated. I'm a newbie at this, and your wisdom is incredibly valuable. (my doc barely gives me the time of day... canadian healthcare )

cheers!

Can you omit mask pressure and sneak the flow limitation graph into the image.
Mask pressure and pressure graphs are redundant...don't need both but we do often find the need for the Flow Limitation graph.

Did you wake up very many times last night? Don't worry if you did...common for the first night with all the newness to everything.
But some of those flagged events might not be real if you were awake or semi awake when they were flagged.
The machine only measures air flow...it has no way to know if you are asleep or not and it will often flag awake breathing irregularities by mistake....and it's quite common for newbies to have a lot of SWJ sleep/wake/junk flagged events happen because they wake often and don't sleep so great the first few nights.

Heck, it took me about 3 months for my brain to quit waking me up to tell me that there was an alien on my face blowing air up my nose...and I had zero issues with the therapy or mask comfort or anything.

I woke up around 3am something, because of the children, and then again at 6am (cause unknown).

The mask and machine don't seem to bother my sleep. Been using it since June, so almost 6 months in.
Of course I'd rather be able to sleep without them, but that's another topic.
