CDMA Wireless will not connect-no signal

Post by LAZRTX » Mon Nov 26, 2018 6:49 pm

Does anyone know how to find out the phone number of the wireless modem in the ResMed Air Sense 10 so I can add the number to my AT&T MicroCell approved phone number list? I do not want to have to take my SD card out to get the data transfered to my healthcare provider. Am I asking the right question?

You might get a Plan A answer when some of the experts log on tomorrow morning.

As far as i know, it doesn't have a 'phone number'.... just an IMEI, but I could be wrong

I don't think you'll be able to use your microcell with your cpap device. AT&T is not CDMA, their signal is GSM so I'm guessing their microcell won't transmit a CDMA signal. Having said that though, according to AT&T site (https://www.att.com/att/microcell/ "How to connect a new phone to my microcell": Any 3G or 4G-capable handset with AT&T wireless service will work on an AT&T MicroCell. You can't activate an AT&T MicroCell with a GoPhone®, but GoPhone users can be added as Approved Users. Handsets with other carriers' services will not work with MicroCel

Better go with plan B!

Let me go back a step. I don't understand why you want the signal to go through your AT&T MicroCell. If you are in range of a cell tower, the signal goes straight from your AirSense 10 to the tower. Eh?

AT&T is GSM only. I think. in the US, the modem uses Verizon's network.

Likely their home has a weak cellular signal. The MicroCell acts like a small cellular tower. The ResMed modem cannot use the AT&T network though.

You nailed it, what a joke ResMed is. They do their best to NOT answer any technical questions by putting the patient into an endless loop of contacting your HME and the HME tells you to contact ResMed.
ResMed technical and patient support = 0.

Somebody on Reddit says the carrier used shows in the About menu. I am not near my machine to look right now.

I just realized you are in Canada. They have shut off CDMA coverage there. Is this an older machine? ResMed initially used CDMA in US & Canada and 2G GSM everywhere else.
