Hello,
I am fairly new to SleepyHead, and am trying to learn how to accurately interpret the data. I have watched the videos on the SleepyHead site, but still not sure if I am interpreting the data correctly. My CPAP machine is flagging a number of CA events, but when I zoom in on them, I typically see something very similar to this graph. My understanding is these are probably not real, and more likely waking up, and then settling back into sleep. A real CA event would be proceeded by normal breathing, then suddenly a stop in breathing. Am I understanding this correctly. Is this likely a false positive? Thanks for any advice.

That's what it looks like to me.
You came out of sleep, for some reason, as evidenced by the larger breaths and losing the sleep rhythm, *then* you held your breath for a bit.

Re: Clear Airway Events
I agree maybe you rolled over in bed or something and held your breath whilst you rolled nothing to worry about here

Third vote for arousal and nothing to worry about.
Though even if "real" asleep...not enough of them to worry about and they might be nothing more than a sleep onset central that is real and normal to see every now and then. Sleep onset centrals aren't a problem unless present in large numbers, preventing final transition to sleep or causing desats.

Re: Clear Airway Events
This is what appears to be a 'real' 11 second central,....no biggie, they happen.

Re: Clear Airway Events
Centrals are unfairly vilified, I'm not sure why.... but they're really no big deal, like you said, not until there's so many of them that your oxygen levels drop.
I don't consider them worrysome till they get close to 8-10 an hour.
