Dry Mouth Help

Biotene is made by Laciede, Inc.
Rancho Dominguez, CA 90220

It is available at most drug stores. At Walmart I found the supplies in the toothpaste isle. The chewing gum was in the pharmacy. Laciede, Inc. said the Biotene mouthwash was the most effective. It worked for me. Hope it works for anyone else who has the problem. For those who don't know, it can feel like the inside of the mouth is glued together and/or a feeling of dryness - seems to especially affect me at night. One is also more prone to cavities.

Chewable Gum (Package of 16)
Their site $1.79, Drugstore site: $2.49, Walmart $1.57

Biotene Mouthwash
Their site $6.79 for 16 oz, Drugstore $10.99 for 33.8 oz), Walmart $5.12 for 16 oz.

Biotene Oral Balance Mouth Moisturizing Gel 1.5 oz
Their site: $6.37, Drugstore $5.99, Walmart $4.97

Biotene Toothpaste
Walmart $4.97

Biotene requires an order of $49 for free shipping
Drugstore requires an order of $25 for free shipping

Dry mouth is common in people with diabetes and Sjogren's disease.

One can request a sample from a health professional (dentist probably best) at no cost. One site offers a trial package for $5.00.

I used Biotene while I was healing my tongue piercing (far more irritation than CPAP I hope) and liked it a lot. Tastes like peppermint, doesn't burn because it doesn't have alcohol, and definitely remoisturizes your mouth.

Of course if you have dry mouth in the first place, especially if you're on a nasal mask, you might want to see if you can address the cause before you address the symptom.

YOGA:

THANK YOU for your in-depth information!

I currently have a sinus infection, and am mouth-breathing = dry mouth.
Looks like a trip to Wall Mart will be on my schedule!

I can vouch for the Biotene gel. I often use a little bit just before masking up. It is very pleasant and seems to help heal little nicks in the gums and tongue (caused by eating salty, crunchy food).
