hose converters for Dreamwear mask

Post by mrcrayola » Mon Oct 29, 2018 11:53 am

So I bought the Philips Dreamwear mask, got it set up per the instructions, and was looking forward to a new mask experience - only to be frustrated by the discovery that the hose and mask connections are the same diameter. The hose is a Philips Respironics HT15. Shame on the company for not using standard fittings!

Quick research indicates there are a handful of converter options on the market. Can anyone who has also had this issue recommend a converter? Thanks in advance.

I'm not understanding this query. I have all the Dreamwear masks. They all use the same "frame" and the elbow on the top of the frame is a standard 22mm male fitting that attaches to any regular, rubber cuffed CPAP hose.

I'm unfamiliar with the HT15 15MM Heated Tube. Does it have a non-standard sized female cuff?

They DO use standard fittings, make sure you don't have a quick disconnect from another mask stuck in the hose

You nailed it, Palerider. The DME that provided the equipment now nearly a year ago apparently wedged in a connector from an F&P Simplus mask, i.e., the only brand I have used to date. It required a pair of pliers to remove, but now I'm good to go. Apologies to Philips for incorrectly pointing the finger.

Thanks,

MC

It's worth restating for anybody reading this later... all cpap hoses have a soft rubbery end, that fit all masks (with the exception of the Resmed airmini stuff).
