AirFit F30 full face mask fitting template

Post by Okie bipap » Thu Oct 25, 2018 7:23 pm

Does anyone know where I can download the mask fitting template for the Resmed F30 mask? The Resmed site says to download the template before ordering the mask, but it doesn't have the template available.

It's weird how ResMed hasn't posted the fitting template. Fortunately you don't need it, just the measurements from it.

You just need to measure the widest part of the outside of your nose from underneath. Hold a ruler under your nose, with the ruler facing a mirror so you can read the measurement.

I didn't bother to do a proper scan of the Fitting Template because the ruler is easier to use. I just made this quick image you can read the measurements off of if you want to check for yourself.

The threshold for the small cushion is a width under about 33mm (3.3cm). The medium cushion is for between 33mm and 47mm (3.3cm and 4.7cm). There is no large cushion. The F30 fitting template is based solely on width.

I will warn everyone that the dimensions are not accurate. Even though technically my nose is about 4.7 cm wide, the medium mask presses on the bottom part of my nostrils where they flare out and is not that comfortable. To be safe, your nose should be no more than 4.3 cm wide for the medium. Of course, your mileage may vary depending on the shape of your nose.
