Who is your favorite CPAP supplier?
Who is your favorite CPAP supplier?
My current supplier APRIA is waiting 3 months before sending me supplies recurring shipments. Id like to get a supplier that'll ship quicker than that with my insurance footing the bill of course.
Re: Who is your favorite CPAP supplier?
Aside from filters, what is it that you need more often than 3 months? Hoses and masks last much longer. Pillows and cushions last at least 3 months ...usually longer.

Re: Who is your favorite CPAP supplier?
He may mean that they tack on a month incompetence time tax on each resupply shipment were by the end of the fiscal year he losses out on a whole shipment of supplies because of their lateness before having to pay the next years deductable?
I dont know what to tell you about DMEs. Every time I think I might just have one that knows how to churn out the supplies I wind up being disappointed. Right now I'm in the boat of having a DME that waits until the day they should have shipped my supplies before starting their internal convoluted process so buy the time I actually get my supplies it's more then a month later. As anoying as that is... I'll take it, because it's better then my last DME who would take my insurance deductible and then send me nothing.
I'm also one of those "bad people" who like to stockpile more then one extra set for a rainy day. It came in handy years ago when I didn't have a doc and so insurance wouldn't work with me. I just used my supplies I'd collected prior and was fine.
Most DMEs will send you 3 months worth of stuff every 3 months plus extra time for their process [see above for incompetence time tax] so you are still getting the supplies you should get plus or minus one shipment. I'm not aware of any DMEs who will ship each month as it's acceptable to bundle 3 months worth into one shipment and they save on their shipping costs.
I've only had the joy of working with 5 different DMEs over the time of my CPAP treatment and the only one of the 5 that was good to work with was the first one who got taken over by a chain company who then turned my experience from joy to frustration and exasperation.
I wish you luck in finding a company who will work with you. Sorry I wasnt able to offer any detailed advice.
Rest well,
Gryphon
