What does the blue water light mean?

Post by Dopey721 » Mon Aug 27, 2018 3:42 pm

I have had my cpap for 7 years and just now the blue water light has come on without any explanation. Can anyone guide me to what this indicates?

I've never heard of a blue water light. how about starting out with the make and model of your cpap,

Sounds like my old S9s.
The light is blue when it is cooling down.

Hi Dopey721,

If you are using a Philips Respironics System One machine with 450, 451, 460, 461, 550, 551, 560, or 561 as the model number, the blue light means the 'pre-heat the water in the humidifier' option has been turned on.

This pre-heat option gets turned on when you hold the big round button down for a number of seconds - usually 5 to 7 (and then you hear a beep).

If you do have a PR System One, and the light has come on, you may have held down the button inadvertently. Is that possibe?

If you have any other kind of machine, then I don't have an answer to your question.

Did you recently reposition your machine to a higher or lower shelf?
You may be just now seeing the blue light because the angle is different.
