Having issue with Dreamstation humidifier

Post by Jbrooks130 » Sat Aug 11, 2018 10:38 pm

Not sure what the issue is but my humidifier on my dreamstation seems to be the unrecognized. There are times when I’m able to turn the dial on the front of the machine to adjust the humidifier from 1-5 but right now the machine just displays my air pressure and does not display any sort of humidifier setting. What causes this issue? I have tried disconnected the humidifier from the unit and then reconnecting it. I’ve tried powering off the unit but still no luck....

I have the Dreamstation with humidifer and haven't had any issues. BUT there is a detailed user/service manual about it which may include some info and troubleshooting ideas.

Website: westcaremedical.com
Click on CPAP, then click on Dreamstation and right under the description is a link for a PDF "User Manual"

I found out about this from someone in this forum so I could get into the menu to change my settings.

Another option: call your DME and talk to them? If it's not paid in full maybe they would swap it out for a new one. If you own it, maybe check into the warranty.

Hope this helps!

Are you using the correct power source? There is a smaller "travel" power source that does not support the humidifier. The correct power source should say "80 watts."

How long have you had this machine?
Is this something that just started happening or has it never worked properly?

I have had this since last September. The issue is very sporadic. I am using the power cord that was supplied.

Does it say 80 watts? They could have "supplied" the wrong cord.

Where do I find the watts? Only thing I see is an ac/dc adapter that plugs directly into the side of the unit that says DREAMSTATION.

On the power brick, but ignore noise.. He's very often wrong, and posts things that are confusing and time wasting, I suggest you put him on your foe list. they don't make multiple adapters for the DS, since all DS's have heated hose capability.

Sounds to me like you should take it back to where you bought it, since it's under warranty.

Accounts to put on the foe list: dataq1, clownbell, gearchange, lynninnj, mper!?, DreamDiver, Geer1, almostadoctor, sleepgeek, ajack, stom, mogy, D.H., They often post misleading, timewasting stuff.

Why is it necessary to call people idiots?

Bully alert. Why is it necessary for PR to call people idiots?
Why is it necessary for you to point this out?
You think we didn't/couldn't see it for ourselves?
Is your main job in life to point out the problems you see or feel with how other people post?

Have a good day yourself.

PR has modified his response and removed the term "idiot" ...what he replaced with is acceptable alternative. IMO

I feel the same way about the term "bully" as I do "idiot"......just saying.
Surely there must be some other words in the dictionary that people could use instead of idiot and bully ...just because we don't like what someone says or how they say it....no reason to go name calling anyone.
