SleepyHead Report - Any changes needed?

Post by Sissy63 » Fri Aug 10, 2018 5:03 pm

This is my SleepyHead Report. I was on the CPAP for about 6 1/2 weeks and now the APAP close to 1 1/2 weeks. I have ordered the DreamWear Nasal Cushion mask to see if I can reduce the leaks and maybe get more comfortable so that I can sleep. Is there anything I need to change? I am SSSSSLLLLOOOOWWWWLLLLYYYY feeling better, but still have a ways to go. From what I have read, it can take a while. Is there anything that obviously needs changed? My sleep is still not good. I think I am sleeping deeper, but still only sleeping about 5 1/2 hours a night. Thanks!

The reports look good...nothing I would change in the settings at this time.

Any idea why the short hours? This report shows 9 hours...was a lot of that time awake? Is your sleep highly fragmented with a lot of wake ups for some reason? If so, any idea why?

Do you take any medications of any kind? If so, what?

Not really... you could edge the min pressure up a little, it might help with the flow limitations, and thus possibly give you better sleep.

Edge up the minimum....slowly...like 0.6 cm increases...not a big jump from 10 to 13.
If you make it up to 13 and your sleep isn't improved and your flow limitation graph isn't less active then I don't think more pressure is the answer and maybe we look elsewhere for why you aren't sleeping so great.

Her min is 12 already, I think ramp starts at 10, looking at the chart.

13, maybe 14, maybe more, at this point, it's an experiment. Just keep nudging it up a little, with a few days in between, watching the activity on the flow limitations chart... FLs are, themselves, disruptive of sleep, they indicate that you're not breathing as easily as you could, and that can disrupt sleep... it's worth trying a bit more pressure to see if that'll help you rest better.

Thank you both of you. I will try 13. I titrated at 13.

I would love 8 hours of sleep. I have done everything I can to not get disturbed, including making my cat sleep in the garage.

My sleep was not good again. The pillows kept slipping and waking me up. I am using the small size. I just want some good sleep. I am hoping the nasal cushion I am getting Tuesday will be the ticket.

I did increase my pressure to 13. Maybe I needed to adjust the pillows a little tighter. I just don't know.

I have tried two fill face and just could not get comfortable and they leaked.
