Would you get another screenshot for me please?

This time zoomed in on some specific events at a special level of zooming in.

On the left under the AHI bar graphs see a Events tab? Click on that tab and then click on the CA category...it will open up and you will see all the CAs and the time they happened.

Last night's report is fine for this experiment...

Look down the list until you find the events that happened around 03:15....click on one of them that has a couple on either side of that time frame all close together.
When you click on that one event the graphs will zoom in...don't alter that level of zooming in...you probably won't get more than 4 or 5 events within the time frame but that's okay. I want to see what they look like at that level of zooming in.

Weren't ASVs made specifically for periodic breathing?

Wouldn't you know that the section with no PB got snuck in there.

Can you do one more at the same level of zooming in but make sure it's all green PB.

From what I can see here it doesn't look like real Cheyne Stokes Respiration which has a very specific pattern.

Cheyne Stokes is but one of many forms of Periodic Breathing...

This is what real CSR looks like.

Periodic breathing isn't necessarily bad and doesn't normally need any treatment.
Periodic breathing is nothing more than a waxing and waning of the air flow that lasts at least 2 minutes.
This below is what I call boring PB...it means nothing and requires nothing to be done about it.

Image

PB all by itself without a truckload of events and the flow rate doesn't look like CSR...not really warrants anything.
We worry about CSR PB because it is often seen in patients with congestive heart failure issues but people can have idiopathic CSR and no heart problems.

A little PB...not a big deal but a lot of it the person needs to have a chat with their doctor about it...just to be cautious.

No...I would like to see several apnea flags and the strip be all green. I want to see more PB flow rate with events flagged in it.

Got it...thank you.

To me it doesn't look like CSR and that's a good thing. We don't like to see a truckload of CSR breathing. All this is something that you need to be chatting with your sleep doctor about when you see him.

Thank you so much I most certainly will, Pugsy. I forwarded a few screenshots to them ahead of my visit Saturday, maybe that will help things.

Just saw the Doc, because of the 3 sleepyhead screenshots and the data from the machine, IM getting an ASV finally. They want a ultrasound of my heart done which I already had done 6 months ago, and then on to the sleep study to set the pressures. Thank you all so so very much! 😁
