OK, just to be sure I'm not misunderstanding the advice so far, please have a look at my chart from last night.

I have set my pressures on my new AirSense 10 Autoset at 9.4 Min and 12.4 Max. I figured at 9.4 Min I would eliminate many events right from the start and this pressure doesn't bother me at all. In fact, it's kinda comforting. Looks like it may have worked.

Instead of using Palerider's sage advice to just set the max at 20 and let it go, I capped it at 12.4 just because that is the most pressure I seem to be able to tolerate before leaks begin to interfere badly with my sleep. Leaks weren't a problem up till now with my PRS1 760P set at 11/7 but they are now with my new Autoset when pressure goes to 13-14. I'm working on that but for now it is what it is.

So my rationalization for justifying capping the max pressure at 12.4 goes something like this: yes, my pressure did indeed kiss the 12.4 max several times, and past experience tells me it would have gone up to as high as 14 if I had left the machine wide open. But at what price? This was the best night's sleep I've had in a long time and regardless of the pressure maxxing out some it looks to me like any events were still very well-controlled. So I don't see where there was much for me to gain and I had a lot to lose-mainly, a good night's sleep.

Obviously I'll keep a close watch on my charts to make sure nothing goes south, but in the meantime would y'all concur with my reasoning and what I'm doing?

P.S. You can't see the graph but there were no snores either, and there were always some with my PRS1 at 11/7.

I would leave well enough alone if it were me. If letting the machine go higher creates more problems with leaks and sleep disruptions than it fixes....don't let it go higher. There is no urgent need to go higher.
I would be quite happy with last night's results especially since you said...

The best numbers in the world don't mean squat if we sleep like crap and feel like crap.
