Very interesting article regarding doctors.
These are probably the same SOBs who refuse to administer adequate pain relief to the dying w/the excuse they might become addicted!17 percent objected to sedating patients near death.
And more women doctors than male doctors were inclined to be more truthful, less biased, and more willing to refer on if necessary.

I'm with you on that subject, Stinky and Snoregirl! Under "Other Directives" in my living will, I wrote "I want to be kept pain-free, no matter what medications or how much is required."

I'm the Dish. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dishness, or uh, Disher, or El Disherino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
When given the opportunity to choose, my doctors are female. I find they are more informative and willing to listen to my ideas. The only male doctor I have seen recently is a rheumatologist and I found myself wanting to ask him to take his narrow mind and big head out the door so I could get dressed and go home.
