Frame size of F20 for her different?

Post by BlueDragon » Fri Aug 03, 2018 1:17 am

Is the size of the frame any different between the regular and "for her" models of the Resmed F20 mask? (I know the headgear is a different size,)

If no different, then I should be able to swap out my wife's For Her headgear for a Large headgear and be able to use it myself, perhaps with a different cushion, right?

Thanks.

If the cushions are unisex the I would assume the frames are unisex.
I can't find ResMed product numbers yet to be sure.

I am thinking that only the headgear size and color is different...but it's early and I haven't had my morning coffee yet to wake up the brain for best thinking.
See image below I grabbed at cpap.com

But I have never seen the F20 at all to verify or compare.

I actually asked this VERY exact question to my sleep clinician and she told me that the frame/mask size is identical with the exception that the headgear is smaller and in a "feminine purple" colour.

My wife is due to get a F20 at some point in the future so I could compare the mask sizes against my F20's.

Great! Thank you both. I've ordered a larger headgear from Amazon to adapt my wife's spare Airtouch F20 for my use. (I can make the F20 for Her headgear work, but the straps run over my ears so don't want to do that for a long time.)

I'm doing that because I'm sick with some kind of cold/flu and my nasal masks were not comfortable during this period.

I was pleased at an unexpected side effect of the CPAP machine. When I'm sick this way, I used to have to humidify the room. It's much easier to refill the tank in the Autoset than it is to refill the clunky room humidifier. The CPAP does a fine job of keeping moisture in the air I am breathing and I am getting a lot of good rest.

The head gear is not the same on the regular F20 and the woman's F20. The regular head gear comes in three sizes (small, regular and large). The women's light lavender head gear comes only in small size. Any of the head gears will work on either the regular F20 frame or the women's F20 frame.

I was 30% right then. The for her headgear is the same size as the small regular one.

I know mostly from experience. I got the F20 for my use and my wife liked it so well, she took it. I ordered the for her model for my wife to use and she found the small head gear was too tight. I had to purchase a regular head gear for her mask. She is still using the F20 and I have moved on to the Dreamwear FFM. Now she has all of my spare cushions and other items she can use.
