It's only had 2 hours of use, because my husband tried it once but doesn't want to use it.

The VPAP is superior and more expensive to the CPAP, but I am selling at a discounted price for a quicksale. Grab a Bargain!

The VPAP offers CPAP as well as VPAP.

It offers multiple settings which have defaults but can be adjusted to suit.
It has the following mode settings -
CPAP - continuous pressure in inspiration and expiration. default pressure is 10 but can be adjusted up or down
VPAP - also known as BiPAP - can set different pressure for inspiration and expiration ( usually better volume when breathing in and more comfort when breathing out)

In VPAP setting you can set to...
S = Spontaneous ( same as CPAP but different pressures breathing in and breathing out)
T = Timed ( will deliver a breath if you stop breathing - for people with central apnoea)
ST = which is a combination of S and T

Post a picture of the machine (make sure the picture includes the model name that is on the machine) along with pictures of the run hours and the REF number off the sticker on the bottom or side of the machine.

Since you mention VPAP and S9 in the subject The most recent models don't use the term VPAP in their ST models. It's called AirCurve 10 ST. I am familiar with this machine as I have owned one.
The S9 VPAP ST was discontinued probably 3 years ago at least....
So either you've had this machine a long time or if you just recently bought it ...you got a old discontinued machine dumped on you.
It's a fixed pressure machine with a back up rate used mainly to treat central apnea.
Not very sought after here and the last one offered for sale here had no takers at $100 and it was an AirCurve 10 ST and not even the older S9 model ST.

The retail price means absolutely nothing here...sorry. That might be what an insurance company gets billed out for but it isn't what actually gets paid for machines and even if they did pay that pie in the sky amount no one here will care. If you actually paid 5K out of your own pocket...you got the royal screw shaft. No one pays retail prices unless they don't know any better.

Don't be surprised if someone's idea here of "reasonable" doesn't quite jive with your idea. Sorry but that's just the way it is.
That particular machine is a specialty high end machine and not many people here need those special features and if they do they most often prefer the auto adjusting version.

(Sorry it didn't work out for you, but that sales pitch of yours is more than a bit over the top, making promises you can't actually promise. Also, a quick check on Craig's list shows an S9 VPAP Auto for sale for $150 near me. Granted, it's got more than 2 hours on it but it's actually the auto version not the fixed pressure one and even so the seller knows they aren't going to get anything like the $5,000 insurance "cost" of the machines.

I have no idea if the Auto can do ST mode since I barely understand BiPap modes, nor whether the VPAP Auto is a more valuable machine.

Me neither, except from osmosis here and stuff from the cpap.com site.

I didn't know BiPap was a tradename, like TelePrompTer.

I took a quick look on eBay's sold search and couldn't find any sold entries for VPAP ST. So a rare beast. But all I've heard in terms of treating Central Apnea is ASV over and over again. I really will have to get around to reading more of the FAQs.

eBay cancels auctions that list the devices explicitly, as it is a prohibited product to sell on the site. So people dance around it by being vague, or naming an accessory in the title but with a high starting bid, and then the photos the listing will show what they are actually selling, serial number photos etc. I find it interesting. People are crafty when it comes to making supply meet demand.

I did see a glut of rather expensive ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset Travel Bags with "accessories", such as a working ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset
