If they give you a BiPAP, they'll take back the CPAP. However, it's not an issue. If you end up needing a plain old CPAP, you can simply set it to CPAP mode (or change the inhale and exhale pressures to be the same).

Hi. I am not one of the data gurus. I see some have already been working with so I'll stay out of that. In general, doctors may start with a CPAP then move to other types of machines if the need is apparent. Whether your CPAP not working for you is simply because of the settings or if the continuous flow is not working for you I can't say. I can say that for certain conditions and for higher pressures the bilevel is preferred. I went to a bilevel and found that breathing with it felt more natural. I'll be interested in dearing what others have to say based on what they've seen in your machine data.

too late now, but may i humbly suggest you keep your posts together for awhile? it makes it easier for the people giving you advice if you stay in one place.

now, i don't mean FOREVER! :) just for a few weeks or so.

thanks!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Watch out, that asshat rcobourn is going to jump all over you for "jumping all over people" (aka, politely asking) about their posting habits.

But, to the OP, it does make it easier for people to help you if all your stuff is together.
