New to CPAP with high E/H score
Hi Everyone: I have a Airsense 10 and after my sleep study, my doctor set my pressure at 14, indicating that I had no apnea’s at that pressure. I use a full face mask and have adjusted well to it with minimal leaks. I do need to get up 3 times a night to go to the bathroom. My problem is I am getting widely varying E/H scores of 10-20 and never a score under 10. I am thinking that my machine is not accurate, but am wondering what you all think. My sleep tech remarked after my last sleep study that I had a tendency to stop breathing for about 6 seconds periodically (which he thought was unusual) but he said I did not wake up when this happened, so it was not an issue since it did not effect my sleep. Perhaps the machine is including these incidents as E/H? He also said that the sleep lab has much more precise diagnostic abilities and I should not rely so much on the results I get from my machine. I can’t say I feel as invigorated as I thought I would so it may be the machine’s E/H readings are accurate, but it may be other factors. Any input is appreciated. Richard

Do you mean AHI? I don't know what E/H is. What model Airsense 10 do you have..there are 4.

What a ridiculous thing for the sleep tech to say! Every member on this forum relies 100% on the data the machine provides. They're amazing devices.
Read the stickies at the top of the forum, get SleepyHead software and see for yourself. Post some charts folks here will help you. Fill out the equipment section of your profile too.
Geez. That tech should be fired. Last thing a new user needs is uncertainty in the machine.
Edit: And welcome aboard!

What do you mean by E/H? that's not a common term.Buschman wrote: ↑Wed Jul 25, 2018 2:04 pmHi Everyone: I have a Airsense 10 and after my sleep study, my doctor set my pressure at 14, indicating that I had no apnea’s at that pressure. That comment by your sleep tech is why most people shouldn't listen to them, so many of them are walking bags of ignorance.
Nobody can give you a good answer to your question without making wild guesses. Give us some data to look at, and we can probably help you. Instructions below, in my sig.
