Billing fail by apria

Post by Alan blauser » Sun Jul 22, 2018 10:09 pm

Lessons learned.
So I recieved a new cpap, my third one in 8 years.
Problem was that after I got it I switched medical groups due to being transfered.
Kept the same insurance.
Problem is that I had put a credit card on file with apria
So when they didn't get paid due to a new medical group apria didnt notify me of the issue because they had my card on file, they just kept charging my card.
I didnt catch it for almost two years .
What a cheap thing for them to do.
I'm screwed out of a lot of money because I didnt pay attention and apria didnt care because they had my card on file.
Just so angry, apria sucks

Apria has bad reviews all over the Internet. I almost went thru them but didn't for many reasons, one of them being the reviews. Did you report them to the credit card company? Thats fraud what they did I do believe. Its never to late to report it. I had a similar situation recently but with a anti virus company who used my credit card two years after I quit using them. My cc company is going after them and removed my charges.

Many of the poor reviews of Apria have said "Don't give Apria your Credit Card if the machine is covered by insurance." I agree with making a claim with your CC company.

Insurance only covered 80% of my cost. I paid the bill monthly until it was paid off. They still tried to charge me an extra month though. Fortunately their insurance person was very capable and removed my charges.

These posts gave me the idea of forming a co-op of PAPpers for supplies, support, etc., to get out from under companies like Apria. Then it occurred to me that we can't really escape human nature, and there will always be people willing and determined to take advantage of others when money's involved. Ah well.
Just an average joe on his way from here to there...
