Re: Depressed about my new condition
Besides, your bedtime getup is now just a tiny bit B&D. Funsies, yeah?

Re: Depressed about my new condition
@ OP - Like what others have said here that at least you now know and are doing something about it. Better late than never and at least you're alive and mostly well
Being diagnosed and putting yourself on treatment isn't the end of the world and you should be giving yourself a pat on your back that YOU'RE doing something about it to improve your health.
I was quite apprehensive when I was diagnosed and recommended to use CPAP therapy. I actually was scared and curious because the machinery and mask creeped me out but at the same time I wondered deep down if the lack of a good night's rest was the cause of some other conditions I was experiencing such as crazy night sweats, foggy thoughts, depression and mood swings.
When I first took my equipment home I was nervous to use it because I didn't like the way it looked and for the first few days it was EXTREMELY weird to have a gas masks strapped to your face with pressurized air being blown/pumped into your face.
That being said, I looked at my condition as being no different than needing glasses or braces for your teeth. If you need it to improve your health/life/functioning then embrace it
After the first few days of treatment I started noticing improvements in my energy and subsequently my mood. My family and spouse notice the change too. I'm not longer apprehensive to CPAP and I actually look forward to masking up at night b/c I know I'll wake up the next day all refreshed and "happy and full of life". I'm sure you'll probably have similar results as you get more rest from treatment. It will take a bit of experimentation but you've got lots of experts here to guide you. In time you'll have everything dialled in just right.
Good luck on your treatment.
