The sleep study report has some information in it that the insurance will need...that's common.

With the pressure suggestion of 15 cm pressure per your titration study..
I would suggest getting the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet....while the Respironics machine is a nice machine I think that the exhale relief available on the ResMed machines is superior when using pressures in the teens.
You may or may not want it or need it but it's always better to have something and not need it than need it and not have it.

My suggestion since you are essentially going to be paying for the machine out of pocket anyway because of the high deductible...get the AirSense 10 AutoSet from cpap.com or secondwindcpap.com if you are okay with used or maybe they even have a new zero hour open box.

Use the first DME (that sounds like they are nicer) for masks. That's what I do. My DME has never sold me a machine..always bought my own privately but I do use the DME for masks and sometimes something else in the way of accessories.
You don't have to buy a machine from someone to get the masks or the whatever.

What do you guys think about ordering this: https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... idair.html and gioing with some supplies to get up and running on Thursday and then scheduling the appt with the DME to see all my options. The machine on cpap.com has a 30 day garuentee, so if I have issues with or the DME has something else to say I can always return it I guess.

Thoughts?

If I go this route, will the machine and what comes with it be all I need? Keep in mine I already have a AirFit P10 nasal pillows mask that the sleep study place gave me for free. Anything else to look out for?

Thanks

The only thing that machine package at cpap.com doesn't have is a heated hose...it comes with the slimline non heated hose.
This isn't a critical issue...you may or may not ever need a heated hose anyway.
It's mainly for hose air temperature comfort and condensation prevention which is usually only very much of a problem in the winter months when we usually keep our houses much cooler.
You can always get a heated hose later if you need or want one....not a big deal.

Ok, hopefully I'm good to go for now. I ordered the REsmed Air10 with a $40 heated hose and a free cleaning brush. I have my AirFit10 mask already. I've sent my stuff to the big DME in town (the small one doesn't have enough options to satisfy me even though she was nicer), and hopefully will get an appt sometime next week to discuss supplies.

I'm guessing as log as I am still good with the mask that the sleep center gave me for free (I slept with it in my CPAP titration study) all I will need in the near future will be new filters.

Ordered an USB3.0 SD card reader. That is what I need to get the data from my machine to sleephead or whatever the software is right?

Thanks

The card reader is only needed if there is no slot for SD cards on your computer.
Often there is a slot but people didn't know it was there especially on laptops.
Now if no SD card slot then you use that card reader/adapter in one of your USB ports.

Thanks. Went back to Amazon and I hadn't checked out. I know my laptop has an SD card reader but didn't think my iMAC did. Looks like it has a SDXC card slot.

An SDXC Card sold is backwardly compatible with SD

What is the exact model that you ordered? The link you posted before was an Autoset. This post says Air10. Did you get an airSTART or airSENSE machine? cpap or apap?

Not all machines have full data, so that is why I am asking.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

Sorry, that was my haste and ignorance in typing. I got this: ResMed AirSense™ 10 AutoSet™ CPAP Machine with HumidAir™ Heated Humidifier... Too bad they couldn't get a 4th trademark in there

Pretty sure they did... someone just forgot to put it.

ResMed™ AirSense™ 10 AutoSet™ CPAP Machine with HumidAir™ ...

There are around 12 very different "air10" machines.

Several "AirStart 10" machines (all crap) (not sure how many, don't care, they're all crap, only good for a backup)
Four "AirSense 10" machines (one crap)
and five "AirCurve 10" machines (none crap, though one I don't like).
