In general, after about 6 hours of sleeping with my ResMed AirSense, there will be no water left in the tank (fill each night). My tube temp is set to 64 degrees and the climate control is set to auto. My leaks are low (between 4-10L). My pressure is fixed at 9.4.
Last night, it happened again and the room temperature was about 81 degrees in the morning but the water tank was hot to the touch when I took it out (I thought the heating would be off since room temp was 81 and tube set to 64).
Any suggestions? Am I missing a settting I need to adjust or something?

If you are using an Airsense, correct your profile. What is your humidifier set at? Manual or Automatic?

Re: No Water Left in Tank
Get a cheap humidity gauge first. I had a patient yesterday with high water usage on auto. It failed the humidity check during calibration, in the case it was a circuit board issue. This type of failure is abnormal, usually it's something else causing the problem.

Someone may correct me if I'm wrong as I'm not at home. If I remember correctly those are 2 different temperatures. Put your humidifier on manual at zero, this will allow pass over with no heater. Your heated hose doesn't sound correct either...do this just to check your tank level in the morning. I have my humidifier set this way and only add water every 3-4 days. You can always add temp manually if needed.

I only see tube temperature when it’s on auto climate, which isn’t setting currently. Is there a separate setting for the tank temperature/humidity?

Yes in the clinical menu, just go in there and put on manual lower to zero, start from there and watch the tank level.bayareacpap wrote: ↑Wed Jul 11, 2018 11:16 pmI only see tube temperature when it’s on auto climate, which isn’t setting currently. To enter clinical menu.....press and hold big knob and little button at the same time. This will open the menu, using the big knob scroll up or down till u find the setting for the humidifier, click on it, it should change color select manual, click again and lower down to zero, to exit menu scroll back to home and click big button...I'm trying to do this from memory(may not be up to snuff...lol).

Be careful changing the humidity control to manual and setting it to 0....that means either very minimal added moisture and your nose might not like it. Auto humidity setting ends up being around 85% and going from 85 % to passover humidity which might get you 10% if you are lucky might not make your nose very happy and when the nasal mucosa get unhappy you can suffer.bayareacpap wrote: ↑Wed Jul 11, 2018 11:16 pmI only see tube temperature when it’s on auto climate, which isn’t setting currently. Just because someone else might do well with minimal added moisture doesn't mean that you will.
The Auto humidity setting (and yes you can have it where only the temperature is shown or you can even have auto hose air temp and auto humidity) ends up being the equivalent of a manual setting of maybe 4 or 5. It should last more than 6 hours unless your ambient bedroom humidity is extremely dry.
So I would first check the ambient humidity in the bedroom itself and then figure out some way to check the humidity put out by the machine like WRX03 suggested. There could be a fault with the heating plate on the humidifier itself.
My ambient humidity in my house runs around 40 to 50%....I use the setting of 6 and I won't have the tank go dry at 6 hours...now maybe at 9 or 10 hours it would use up the water but not at 6 hours. The Auto setting for humidity wasn't enough moisture to keep my nasal mucosa happy and that's why I went to the manual setting of 6.
Water consumption is determined by the machine humidifier settings, leaks, pressure and of course assuming the machine is functioning properly and the heating plate sensors can go bad and cause a person to use a lot more water than they should be using.
Hose air temp doesn't affect water consumption...just hose air temp per whatever is comfortable to you (and prevent rain out) but not amount of water used.
