have an extra mask to sell for cheap to me?

the mask i was given to use with my cpap machine
was an old mirage quattro the guy had to give me
i think its done for and i need to get a new mask
but i dont have much money
if someone has an extra mask theyd be wiling to sell to me for cheap
please let me know
i am self treating and as far as i know i cant buy one online without a xcription
even if i had the money
the size of the mirage quattro i have is a large but im not even sure if its the right size for me
or if i would need a medium
i was also given a nasal pillow mask but unfortunately i havent been able to use it
due to air flowing out of my mouth

Check eBay; I have purchased a few masks to try for less than $40. If they don't work for me I turn around & resell on eBay. Has worked well, so far. Be certain you are getting the parts you need; some sellers show photos of a complete mask from the manufactures sales brochure, but in the description will indicate it only includes cushions, frame etc. I buy only from sellers that include actual photos of the item being sold.

is that something you usually have to buy each part separate and piece them together?

Why do you need a new mask? I used the same mirage quattro for four years.
I bought new headgear, and new parts for it as they wore out, you can get parts on ebay or amazon for little money.

You can download a PDF of the resmed sizing chart for the quattro, and either measure it, or print it out, and then measure your face to see what size you need.

yea i guess the only reason i would need a new mask is because im not sure if this one is the right size for me

i have no preference as im new to cpap in general
i started about 3 weeks ago and have used a mirage quattro
from the guy who gave it to me
the mask is old and since ive had it the cushion has
deteriorated and its leaking all throughout the night
like palerider said i could just buy a new cushion for it, which i may do
but im not sure if i need a medium mask
i need to measure my face to make sure the large is supposed to fit me
when i first got it it seemed to be find though, so im not sure right now

Most of the time they are sold as separate parts. I bought a Dreamwear Frame that listed "extra parts", enough for a complete mask.

I was in much the same boat you are. I got my first machine off craigslist, and the seller threw in their old mask... I looked up the manual and what it said about cleaning when transferring the mask between patients, did that, and slept with it the first night.

I suspected it wasn't right for me, because, what would be the odds of that, getting the right size mask at random... so I downloaded the sizing guide, zoomed it on the screen of my computer till it was the right size (checked with a ruler) then I measured where it would, on my face, held that up to the screen, and it turned out that the mask I'd gotten at random was the right size.

I'd read on here that the cushions were "so delicate" so I bought another one for when mine tore... but, it never did.

I suppose since I wasn't a vigorous mask cleaner, I didn't abuse it to death. (I have seen a lot more reports over the years of people who scrub their stuff clean needing more frequent replacements... go figure) and that one cushion lasted for years. The older elbow had a tendency to break... and I ended up buying three of those over the years, and a few headgears, but parts aren't too expensive, not compared to a whole new mask.
