EBAY How to locate CPAP stuff now it's a no no

Post by EBAY Fan » Sat Oct 23, 2004 10:47 am

Now that EBAY has decided that it won't carry any CPAP items (and I applaud the fact that the CPAP machines, which require a prescription, are no longer available there - getting the setting correct is SO important), you CAN still find other CPAP supplies. If you are looking to purchase CPAP Masks, for example, try a search with CPAP masks. You may get some hits by keyword before the EBAY police find the links and cancel them. Hopefully more sellers now will discover they need to use the BUY it NOW feature in order to sell their goods at once before the masks are deleted from the site. Alternatively, I was able to locate some masks by searching by the name of the mask (i.e.: Mirage Activa, Comfortfull etc.) and also by searching nasal mask instead of CPAP mask. Personally, I would never purchase any used medical supply, but I have no qualms about buying a new in package product at sometimes more than half the price I can get the mask (or hoses) anywhere else.

There is a way to buy those items on ebay b4 they are yanked
You gotta get real creative.
I passesd on a remstar auto from a person listing there for 250.00.
I told him to list it here, but have not seen him list it.

Problem with used medical devices?????

Nothing wrong with things a bit used, I would think.
Think about this one.

why are you telling us this? Have you been living under a rock? We've known about ebays policy for some time.

All those cpap supplies on ebay were there from the "brick and mortar" DME's unloading excess inventory, most likely the very same ones trying to shut down Internet sales of cpap equipment altogether so they can charge us patients those ridiculous rip-off prices.

As long as cpap.com stays in business, I'll be a happy camper.
