Flattened area in ResMed Tubing

Post by MimiLou » Tue Jun 26, 2018 4:34 am

The first day I noticed that a 6-8 inch run midway through my ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet tubing was out of round but didn't say anything...yesterday an engineer friend noticed it and told me that could be the cause of my uneven air flow because of the tubing being round to flattened to opening back up...any thoughts or recommendations? Or is it supposed to be that way?
Thanks in advance.

Nonsense!...If you are worried, buy a new tube. They are as little as $5 on ebay with free shipping.

it's not supposed to be that way, flattened tubing reduces the area, and increases flow resistance.

If you can squeeze it back to round, that'd be good.. and like LSAT says, replacement hoses are cheap at amazon and ebay.

Thank you all, I guess I over reacted. When I went back to the DME she insisted it can be pushed back into round....and she did!
I had been having issues with uneven pressures and thought that might be the culprit.
