I am also new to CPAP and have a pillow mask. I am having some issues with dry mouth and I am certain it is because I am exhaling through my mouth. My question is do you think I will adjust and this will stop or should I try taping or chin strap. If I think I will adjust then I would rather not try these extra things and I will persevere.
Thanks for any advice.
tips on getting used to nasal mask
Re: tips on getting used to nasal mask
what size firm cervical collar do you use? im thinking about ordering oneOkie bipap wrote: ↑Wed Jun 27, 2018 6:51 pmI tried chin straps and found them to be too uncomfortable for me. I use a firm foam cervical collar to keep my mouth closed. I have never been able to adapt to a nasal pillow mask and have decided to just continue with my full face mask, of which I have tried several and have settled on two that I alternate as the mood strikes.

I use a four inch and my wife uses a three inch collar. I bought my first one at CVS and it was an adjustable collar. After using it, I realized I needed the four inch collar.
