Honey

Post by lwieland11 » Mon May 14, 2018 5:00 am

You'd think, as long as I've been struggling with sleep apnea(15 years), I would have run across this by now. Maybe it's because I was trying all the sleep meds which always left me feeling drowsy in the morning and then just gave up. But I read somewhere this week that a simple spoonful of honey will knock you right out. So, I tried it and it did! Done it the past several nights. Knocked me out every night. One little teaspoon of honey has made all the difference. Looking forward to seeing if/how it impacted my AHI.

When I say, "Honey", I eventually get to sleep--
But only after some "happy splashing".

I have a great marriage. But I do believe there still have been times when my honey has wanted to knock me out.  :P

Seriously, honey is pure concentrated carbohydrate,
which can soothe a jangled tummy.
A sweet roll or cookie will have the same effect.
Especially with a nice glass of warm milk

Be sure to brush your teeth.

Why do some people have to make fun of others to feel good about themselves? There seem to be plenty of those sorts of people on this board. Really, chunkyfrog?

Many of us make jokes to keep the board interesting and human--and to bump the post back to the top. It ain't so much "making" fun as it is "having" fun, the way I read the frog.

Leave the frog alone .. everyone is having fun here not making fun, if it's too much there are plenty of other forums to move along to..

Good mornin' Jeff...

There is a very fine line between having fun and making fun. Unfortunately, many people here cross that line all the time under the guise of "having" fun, when in reality it's "making" fun.

Good mornin', and since I'm late, afternoon, too!

Feel free to let me know when I cross that line. I tend to switch gears quickly between amateur-comedian mode and amateur-help mode--sometimes mixing both simultaneously. Doesn't always work well. Kinda like a really bad episode of M*A*S*H.

Although I admit sometimes feeling less-than-entertained when Mr. Burns or Ms. Houlihan did not appear to have been treated with sufficient human dignity.

 I've been on this forum for lots of years. Never, even one time, have I read anything from you that could be construed as crossing a line. Your "amateur-comedian mode" as well as your "amateur-help mode" posts are always enjoyable to read. I either learn something or at the very least, have a laugh. Your "hey, just me" lines make me chuckle every time. I know you are going to come back at me in "comedian-mode", but, it would be so nice if people who hung around on internet forums would follow your example.
