It is good to hear that insurance actually looks at this under some circumstances.
The context we were discussing in our meeting was that the people already had insurance covered CPAP machines and were not eligible for an additional device to use while enjoying the outdoors. As a result they paid out of pocket.
I forgot about the cautions involving TMJ and joint inflammation. I was told about having to exercise your jaw back into place each morning but the doctor didn't dwell on that. It is good to hear the experience of someone that actually used one of these things.
Mouth guards?

Thanks for the responses. I will never be able to sleep w/o cpap. It is good to hear a discussion on the topic of treating OSA, and just not dismissing any alternative, as this is a cpap forum. Smh
