Airsense 10 Autoset data question

Post by Personxyz » Tue May 01, 2018 10:15 am

First off I’d just like to show my appreciation to the users of this forum whose knowledge has made this complex sleep disorder and treatment option easier to understand. Without this great information resource I’d be lost.

I’m going to be getting a machine soon and have settled on the Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset. I’ve already clarified that it is compatible with sleepyhead but I’d like confirmation from someone that it is a full data machine. Specifically I really want the machine to be capable of recording the following information:

RDI or RERA
Flow limitation
Central sleep apneas
Airflow waveforms
Leaks
Cheyne–Stokes

I’m guessing data such as AHI is a certainty to be included as well.

Hopefully someone can confirm my query so I can buy with full confidence.

Thanks for your time.

From memory, that is all there.
I am at work and, for some reason, my CPAP & SleepyHead are at home. ;)

See the manual above. I believe it is a bit outdated only in that it doesn't show RERAs except with the For Her model but now the RERAs are included on all the AutoSet models.
About as full data as one can get.

RDI isn't something a machine reports though...it's something you can make SleepyHead report though with a bit of customization of the setting parameters.
SleepyHead only reports whatever data the machine gathers except if someone wants some extra flags included along with the AHI...and RDI is something that is extra but easily done.

Welcome to the forum.

Thank you prodigyplace and Pugsy for the quick replies.

Sounds like I'm good to go!

Having just looked up the definition of RDI again I was mistaken regarding what it meant. If it's the combined number of apneas, hypopneas, and RERAs per hour of sleep sleepyhead will show all of this anyway making the need for RDI redundant.

One less thing to think about I guess! :D

I'll put it this way... There is no machine that gives more detailed data than the Autoset.
