Respironics 50 vs 60 series
Other than the look of the device, Is there anything different in the way they work? Is it truly an upgrade? Better algorithm? Anything?
Re: Respironics 50 vs 60 series
Algorithm was unchanged.
Main difference was the 60 series addition of the heated hose option to combat the ResMed heated hose option.
Ability to turn the back light off...big whoopie. I never could see it with my eyes closed anyway.
The heated hose option was a big leap forward for me....it allows greater customization of the humidity delivered as well as more comfort in the hose air temp. I was getting ice cube nose on my machine even set at max of 5 for humidity and it was waking me up a lot. It was winter and the bedroom was very cold at night.
For me I think the 60 series was a little less noisy than the 50 series. YMMV in that regard.
