Hi all,
I'm using a rented Respironics Dreamstation APAP for past couple of months and adjusting myself to try and tackle my fatigue which I believe may be down to UARS.
Looking at the data in Sleepyhead (which I know is not native to any device or manufacturer, and therefore may have bugs or anomalies that can't be 100% explained) there were a couple of nights where the mode was listed as CPAP even though I did not change the settings from APAP to CPAP, and the pressure does appear to have changed during those nights...
I have attached a screenshot to show that SH does infact say CPAP mode and shows variations in pressure. I did feel that I had better results, in terms of less fatigue the next day on 2 occasions when this happened. Also my results have been pretty bad the last few weeks so I'm looking at next steps which include setting a steady pressure (CPAP mode), based on the idea that the pressure changes may be causing arousals and worsening rather than improving my fatigue.
Anyway I would welcome any input into the attached and why it might have happened. Or other tips on how to pitch the pressure when I try out CPAP mode (I'm currently at 10 - 20 CM2).

Re: Dreamstation APAP Data Showing As CPAP In Sleepyhead
The machine settings that you see showing CPAP mode when obviously it is in auto/apap mode is a known bug in the SleepyHead software. It sometimes messes up the reported settings for some reason or other and sometimes gets it right.
Just ignore it.

Just ignore it.

Pugsy thanks a mill for clearing that up for me!

Thanks for that info. I was going to suggest that the DME could be playing with your settings remotely, but that does not appear to be the case.
Re: Dreamstation APAP Data Showing As CPAP In Sleepyhead
I don't have DME (I'm in Ireland) but curious as I see it all over this board !!
