I guess you are using a clip to hold the hose, avoiding puling your nose, if not it is recommended.
You would be guessing wrong....and it's not recommended if it is not needed.
Nothing extra is ever recommended for anything unless there is a need because there is a problem.
I have no need for anything to stop the hose from pulling on my nose because it simply doesn't pull on my nose with the way I route the hose.
Been using the Bleep for over a year now. I think I have it worked out pretty well what I need or don't need.
The TapPap is a nice mask and especially a nice mask if a person needs a mouth guard for some reason. Kill two birds with one stone kind of thing.
Since I first starting using cpap over 10 years ago (coming on 11 in May) I have always said..."I wish I could figure out some way to stick these nasal pillow to my nose and ditch the headgear"....I have said it dozens of time to my husband over the years.
Finally someone came up with a mask that would do what I have been saying for years that I wanted to do.
Stuart did the Bleep. No it's not totally perfect but he is actively working on improving it....and it is perfect enough for me even now since it takes care of my main complaint about any nasal mask...the headgear.
Now I could use the TapPap I suppose but while the mouth guard wasn't a big deal....it was still there and made my bite feel a bit weird in the mornings for a short period of time (and this was a bit annoying) and now I don't even need that to be happy with the mask.
The TapPap would be especially nice if it had diffused venting.
Everyone has their own personal preferences, wants and needs when it comes to any mask. Everyone is different and that's why we have so many people preferring different masks for different reasons. The beauty of it....everyone gets a choice.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
