DME treated me right

Post by TASmart » Fri Mar 23, 2018 12:23 pm

Here is a "hats off" to a DME that treated me well. I went in last week with some issues, one of which the latch on my SD card slot quit holding the card in properly, and my results were fluctuating wildly, from an AHI of 1.x to over 7.x. They were impressed with Sleepyhead and gave me no grief about changing my setting. Today I went back for a follow-up got a new Airsense 10 Auto to replace the old one under warranty, actually said that I am in charge or my settings, and gave me a free large P10 pillow to try.

No muss no fuss. Cheers to NORCO in Eugene Oregon for great service!

While I have yet to experience a visit to a DME, i've read a lot of really negative things...i'm glad to see someone had a good experience. A coworker/buddy of mine just went and visited his yesterday...was pissed when he left...had a good experience the first 2 times, now he was treated poorly and rudely as he put it.

I have been lucky so far. My first DME was associated with the sleep clinic I go to. They are not owned by the sleep clinic. The sleep clinic and DME re both owned by the local hospital medical group, as is the facility where my primary care physician is located. When they lost their Medicare contract, I found an on line supplier that specialized in active and retired military and their families. When we ordered my wife's machine, they brought it to the house, programmed it and showed her how to use it. When we need supplies, I simply order them on line and they show up around 10 days later.

I am glad you had a good experience. I have only had good experiences so far but I admit I am nervous every time I go because of the stories I have read.
