You hve the integrated ResMed humdifier shown in your profile and the link to it is correct, right? You only fill it half full - to the squiggly lines, right?
If it doesn't virtually empty the tank when set on high I would think there is something wrong with it (although I am a noob - only 4 months on CPAP). Does the metal plate get hot and the water in the tank get warm (after it has had a chance to heat up)?
I am pretty sure I accidently set mine to 3 or 4, not the max and it was virtually dry in the morning.
I guess if you were in a more humid climaate, this would not affect it, but i am in Massachusetts which is pretty humid (fortunately not much snow yet).
