From back in Dec at this forum but I got a hit for it from 2 nights ago so same crap is still currently going on but that 2 nights ago hit link gave me a page not found message.
This one is still up it appears but gives you an idea how they do it with the different names and they just keep cranking the spam out once they realize that it is getting posted.
99% of the hits I got for the topic I googled took me to "page not found" but on occasion I find one that no one took down.
At any rate...we aren't the only ones and I got hits from 10 years ago...so it's been going on a long time.
Forums, emails and even live chat...dirty bastards (and that's actually a mild adjective compared to what I am really thinking
)Captchas barely slow them down any more. There are spam bots that can figure out captchas quite easily. I saw on one forum that had been hard hit (like we were) with the Chinese crap where the members have to type in a 6 character captcha thing EVERY time they submit a post and they were wondering how the damn bot could do it when they had trouble doing it.
Like I say...it's a war that will most likely never end and the best we can do is take a battle every now and then and cause them to retreat for a while.
