First two nights with bi-pap.

Post by KeziasPurr » Fri Jan 12, 2007 10:42 am

Hi all. Well I've had two nights with my bi-pap machine. I can't really tell if it's doing anything or not. I haven't awoken as much during the night, so that's a good thing.

You can see my equipment in my profile. Thing is, they didn't give me any software, PC cables to run the activity in my PC. They said that I have to bring the machine in and they would process the data for me. THat seems like a real pain in the butt. Oh well.

I don't know the jargon, but I do know that my inhalation pressure is 9 and my exhalation pressure is 6. That's about all I know. Should I know more? Is this a fairly common setting?

So glad I found this forum. Ya'll are great. I hope to learn everything I need to know here.

Join the club - I have been 2 nights in a VPAP III as well (have used one before but a different model to this one )

You can get the software from

http://www.cpapdownunder.com.au/

email barry@cpapdownunder.com.au if you have any questions - barry has been very helpful t me & I am more than happy to recommend him.

If you do contact him - say you were referred to him by Doug in Sydney I think he will remember me. The AutoScan 5.7 software is just over $A105 (about $US80).

You also need a 'null modem' cable 9-pin at each end - these typically sell for abot $9US from Tandy etc:.

You have a good machine there -

Cheers
