Can someone please tell me if they have had success using an Infineer (Mako) DT3500 drive with XP and encore 1.6i
Thanks!
Card Reader Question
The Infineer (Mako) DT3500 is the ONLY card reader that will work with the Encore Pro software.

using it here, works fine, the 2800.sys driver can be finicky, you have to make sure you use the one written for EncorePro software (Mako generic will not work with 1.6i).
You can get the correct installer here (right click, Save As):
http://www.two-factor.com/driver/DT3500 ... o_v1_3.exe
After downloading,
1. Unplug your card reader.
2. Run the installer program above (it should remove your current driver if installed), reboot, run it again with the card reader NOT plugged in. When it says to reboot, reboot, when computer comes back up plug in card reader.

Bad Card Reader Maybe?
I already had this driver, but software will not connect. I tried your download and it still did not connect. I spoke with Tech at Respironics and was told I may have a bad card reader.
Thanks for trying to help me to resolve this issue. I will post my results when I have the answer hopefully again after I try another DT3500 card reader.

Did you go into Encore Pro and tell it to use USB?
Did you create a patient in the software and click on it?
Did you plug it into a active USB port, going into the motherboard? Jim

Re: Bad Card Reader Maybe?
Did you install the SmartCard driver before or after installing Encore Pro?RestedOne wrote:I already had this driver, but software will not connect.
Can you describe exactly what you mean by 'software will not connect'
Are you getting a specific error message?

I got my reader and software today and had same problem and came across your post.
To get up and running I disconnected the reader from USB port - then followed directions that came with reader again to "Start the Set-Up" process again - this time though the wizard detected that the drivers were already installed. I chose option to uninstall.
Then - I reinstalled the drivers. At the end of the install I chose the option to Restart the machine WITHOUT the card reader attached still.
Then once the machine was totally rebooted - plugged the card reader into the USB slot and got the Windows detected new hardware prompt - clicked on options to allow it to complete installation and then when I started the EncorePro software - the reader was recognized.
I hope this helps and you have not already returned your reader before giving this a shot.
