Question about hose connection

Post by ElaineP » Fri Feb 25, 2005 6:49 pm

I bought a Nasal Aire thingy and a Resmed Mirage full face mask from an auction to try (too expensive to buy outright not knowing how they will work).

I have a Resmed straight cpap S6 Lightweight and a nasal Ultra Mirage mask from the DME. The hose has a plastic piece in the end that connects to the mask, and "pops" off easily if I need to disconnect it from the mask. But it doesn't fit with the other masks I bought and haven't been able to try them out. I can't get this plastic piece out easily and don't want to break the hose. Do I need to get another hose to connect the masks or is there a connector of some type I need to try the new masks? I see they have a couple of connectors on cpap.com, but I'm not sure what I need. Thanks for all the help this board provides!!

That plastic piece is a quick disconnect. It should come out of the hose, you might have to wiggle it a bit.

Thanks, I'm going to try again to get it out. That thing is really stuck in there.
