My sleep Apnea is a little different than most. My tongue presses up against the roof and front of my mouth causing me to not breath. I bought a ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet with the AirFit F20 mask. I tried the machine for a whils, but I found I am worse in the morning that without the machine. Can this machine help me with my tongue issue?
Thanks,
Ian

Re: Oh That Blasted Tongue
Pressing your tongue to the roof of your mouth should help nose breathing. How can it stop you breathing through your nose? We encourage it to help people that are mouth breathers.

Re: Oh That Blasted Tongue
I am a mouth breather. I have been my whole life. That is the problem, I do not breath through my nose, awake or asleep. Please don't say something like, "Well, start breathing through your nose". I am 55 years old and I can't start changing the way I breath now.

Re: Oh That Blasted Tongue
Failure to nose breathe may indicate a structural anomaly in the nose.
Consult an ENT to correct the problem.
If it is just a habit, use an oral mask.
