Which is sometimes dangerious........laffin
Has anyone scuba dived ????
My mask for scube allows me to exhale through my nose and purge water etc.... a one way purge valve..
Why can't the same thing be incorparated into a nasal Cpap mask ??
When you exhale the valve would allow easy exhale but close on inhale ??
Like I said, I've been thinking...

I don't know anything about diving, except water is involved. The input pressure is probably controlled more (Variable). I'll bet the masks would be costly, and just think about all the weight complaints. People could complain about the tanks clanging all night. Jim
EDIT: I was thinking about tank, not snorkel.

Think again,
When you exhale it raises the pressure into the mask, the valve opens to release air eliminating the positive pressure.
What we want here is to produce a positive pressure in our mask.
The valve you're talking about would allways be open and would eliminate the pressure unless there would be valves adjustable to specific pressures (0-20 cm H2O)
am I clear ?

I had "flashbacks" reading your post.
No scuba diving, but 25+ years ago I spent some years on volunteer fire departments where we used air packs with full face masks (could be why I get along so well with my UMFF).
On those air packs, there's a switch where you can change the air from "Demand" (gives you air on breathing in) to "Pressure" (gives you constant air flow from the tanks much like CPAP and is used when in situations where you wouldn't want to risk anything leaking into the mask on inhale).
