The presence of apneas, or inadequately-addressed apneas, might be inferred (during the sleep portion of Holter Monitoring, of course) if they analyze Heart Rate Variability (HRV).offlineon wrote:I bothered my doc for a halter ECG Rx ( I could not get an oxi Rx) and maybe that will show something I can then investigate further.
However, HRV as a function of sleep apnea may be blunted in uncontrolled hypertension, or in turn recovered with successful treatment with ACE or ARB.
Maybe go for "double or nothing" and try to get nocturnal oximetry included.
